1. Introduction :

Education and employment across the world are rapidly changing with the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Bangladesh is not outside this global transformation either. However, since AI-based curriculum has not yet been included in the national education framework, educationists have expressed concern. Education thinkers believe, “Essential to include AI-based curriculum in the national education framework. Because, if we want to prepare the next generation to be fit for global competition, AI education must be ensured from primary to higher education.”

2. Why AI Education is Essential :
According to experts’ analysis—AI is now exerting influence on medicine, agriculture, business, law, administration and even culture. Just as mathematics, science and English were once made part of fundamental education, in today’s time AI must likewise be placed at the foundational level of learning. Otherwise, we will remain only users of technology, not innovators.

3. Necessity at School Level :
In primary and secondary education, students should be taught the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, logical reasoning, elementary programming and digital ethics. Through this, children’s intellect will flourish and they will be prepared for the technology-dependent life of the future.

4. Focus at College Level :
At the college stage, students need to have subjects like data analysis, programming and the fundamentals of machine learning included. Students of humanities, science or commerce—all streams will benefit from the application of AI.

5. University and Higher Education :
It is now urgent to establish separate AI departments and research laboratories in higher education institutions. Universities also need to emphasize joint research and exchange programs with industries and foreign universities.

6. Technical Education and Practical Experience :
If AI is not integrated into technical education, Bangladesh’s industrial sector will fall behind in global competition, he has warned. In particular, to build skills in automation, robotics and data management, the necessity of AI education in vocational training centers has been highlighted.

7. Steps for Implementation :
(1) Inclusion of AI-based curriculum in the national education framework.
(2) Launch of teacher training programs.
(3) Establishment of smart classrooms and laboratories in schools and colleges.
(4) Creation of research labs in partnership with private technology companies.
(5) Introduction of competitions, projects and startup funds for students.

8. Becoming a Nation of Innovators in Technology is the Goal :
If we cannot launch AI-based education right now, the future generation of Bangladesh will remain merely consumers of technology. But with proper planning, if AI is integrated into the curriculum, Bangladesh will be able to lead at the global stage as a nation of technology innovators.
