The election field was filled with commotion. Banners, slogans, smiles—everything appeared like a normal democratic spectacle. Yet behind this scene, a silent and subtle political drama was being staged—its name: revival. A plan for the return of a banned force, not through an open path; rather, like a novel, slowly advancing chapter by chapter.

In the first chapter of this novel, familiar names suddenly disappear. There is no Awami League name, no symbol, no color. But the characters have not vanished. They have returned wearing new masks. Some stand under the shadow of the Jatiya Party, while others appear in the old alleyways of the 14-Party Alliance under the safe identity of “independent candidates.” To voters, they seem like different characters, yet behind the curtain they remain inseparable parts of the same story.
By the second chapter, it becomes clear—this is not merely a political tactic, but a carefully planned process of rehabilitation. The most important role here has been played by the indecision of the interim government and the incompleteness of the electoral system. Although the Awami League was declared banned, the door of opportunity was opened by keeping the Jatiya Party and the 14-Party Alliance—long known as political shelters for that party—outside the scope of the ban. As a result, the banned party, without directly entering the field, has found a way to remain active in electoral politics under the shadow of legality.
Legal loopholes in the election, the gray zones of alliance politics, and the seemingly harmless cover of “independent candidates”—all together have created a perfect pathway to break through the wall of prohibition. Walking this path, those involved know that once the election results are announced, identities will change, masks will come off, and under the lights of the new parliament the old identities will once again become clear.
The third chapter of the novel is the most mysterious and widely discussed. Observers whisper that behind this story lies a shadow crossing the border. India’s intelligence agency, “RAW,” is allegedly the behind-the-scenes architect of this subtle restructuring. Without stepping onto the stage directly, through invisible strings of advice, communication, and strategy, they are said to be helping construct a reality in which a banned force can return to the light of legitimacy in new attire.
In the final chapter, the reader—meaning the ordinary citizen—faces a difficult question: is this truly a free election, or a tale of political rebirth in the name of an election? Inside the ballot box, are only votes being cast, or is a new version of an old regime being deposited?
The last line of this novel has not yet been written. It will be written on the night the results are announced—when masks will be removed, true identities will emerge, and another chapter will be added to the pages of history:
the organized and carefully planned story of returning even after being banned.
