According to the report, a cheque amounting to BDT 218 crore, which was used in the core planning and execution of the Hadi murder, has been seized. Although this cheque constitutes crucial direct evidence of financing for the murder—
the individual(s) who issued the cheque have been kept outside the list of accused in the case. Moreover,
the charge sheet contains no analysis of the source of the funds, the purpose of the transaction, or the network involved.

*3. Legal Analysis*:

Under the prevailing Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure of Bangladesh, if financing of a murder is proven, the financiers are also liable as abettors of the crime.

*4. Political Influence*:

Inkilab Mancha’s objection further alleges that—
BNP’s Legal Affairs Secretary, Kaiser Kamal, played an active role in securing bail for the accused murderer.
As the murder was committed after the accused was released on bail, this falls within the scope of direct assistance and patronage.
However, the charge sheet—
has entirely omitted Kaiser Kamal’s role,
the possible influence exerted during the bail process, and
the issue of political–legal support before and after the murder.
